Privacy Policy

Last updated: 06/15/2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Candace for Kansas campaign ("we," "us," or "the campaign") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, sign up for updates, volunteer, or make a contribution.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly. This includes your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and any message you send us when you fill out a form, sign up for updates, volunteer, or contact the campaign.

When you make a contribution, federal and state law require us to collect and report certain information, including your name, mailing address, occupation, and employer. Contributions are processed through our payment processor, ActBlue. Your payment card details are handled by ActBlue and are not stored by the campaign.

We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit the site, such as your device type, browser, pages viewed, and general location based on your IP address. This helps us understand how people use the site and improve it.

How we use your information

We use your information to send you campaign updates, respond to your questions, organize volunteers and events, process and acknowledge contributions, comply with campaign finance and election laws, and improve our website and outreach.

Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your phone number and opt in, we may send you campaign text messages, including updates, event reminders, volunteer requests, and contribution asks. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any contribution or of volunteering. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. We honor opt-out requests promptly.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information with service providers who help us run the campaign, such as our website host, email and texting platforms, and payment processor, only so they can perform services for us.

We may share information when required by law, including for campaign finance reporting to the Kansas Public Disclosure Commission, or in response to a lawful request.

Contributions made through ActBlue are also subject to ActBlue's Privacy Policy. When you give through ActBlue, you can choose whether to share your contact information with the campaign. We encourage you to review their policy.
